Tiling and carpentry for builders, property managers and fit-outs

For builders, property managers and businesses who need wet areas, floors and fit-out carpentry done to spec, on time, by a crew that doesn't need chasing. About half the jobs in our books are for trade and commercial clients, not homeowners.

New build projects

For home builders we price whole houses: wet areas in 600 × 600 or 600 × 300 with screeds, waterproofing to the shower upturns, water stops, mitred edges and niches; living areas and alfresco in large-format rectified tiles; stairs and balconies; and pools, with a pool waterproofing system and epoxy grout. Carpentry fit-off as well. What you can expect on your site:

• We work to your plans, finishes schedule and program, and tell you early if something on site doesn't match the drawings.
• Wet areas waterproofed to AS 3740 and screeded to the falls NCC 2022 requires, ready for your inspection before tiling.
• Work areas left clean and ready for the next trade.
• One point of contact, and a quick answer when something needs deciding.

Commercial fit-outs

Shops, salons, offices and warehouses. We've tiled a barber shop floor in a shopping centre, framed and sheeted a mezzanine office inside a warehouse, and fitted out a commercial unit for a construction company: stud walls and bulkhead, framing for glass partitions and doors, and batten cladding. We price the full carpentry package on shop fit-outs too: steel-furred plasterboard ceilings, curved bulkheads and feature walls, and shopfront support framing to the engineer's detail.

Commercial floors take heavier traffic and harder cleaning than homes, so we set out to a laser line, lay to the tile schedule on the drawings, use epoxy grout where hygiene matters, and plan movement joints for large floor areas.

Property and facility managers

A good part of our work comes from property and facility management companies. Bathroom retiles between tenants, cabinet modifications, maintenance carpentry, and a pair of hands on site when something needs doing this week. What that looks like:

• Bathroom and toilet retiles in managed homes: strip-out, demolition, new tiles, tiled skirting, doors trimmed to the new floor height.
• Maintenance carpentry billed by the hour, with the dates and hours on the invoice.
• Materials passed on at cost, with the receipts attached.
• Travel quoted as its own line, so you can see it.

Government-funded and community projects

Social and community housing, schools, and community buildings are built to a written specification and inspected against it. That suits the way we already work. We quote on government-funded and community projects, and we can give project managers:

• An itemised quote against the specification, with the products we'll use named.
• Photos of each stage, including waterproofing before it's covered.

We're a Western Australian business, and most of our work is for people in our own suburbs. Work on homes and buildings the community uses is work we're proud to put our name to.

Crews by the day or week

If you need an extra carpenter, tiler or labourer to hold a program together, we can supply them by the day or week. We've run crews on a renovation builder's sites for weeks at a time, and sent a trades assistant to Port Hedland. You get weekly invoices backed by dated timesheets.
